Hi Guys,

We will be rolling out the Hero Speeches starting next Tuesday.

Your presentation should be roughly between 5-7 minutes. The goal is to identify characteristics in your "Hero" that you admire and how those qualities have helped to shape your values and who you are as a person today.

Develop a good introduction and give good examples and details to support what you said in your introduction in the body of your speech. Then wrap it up with a good and memorable conclusion.

Ask - What is the main message I want my audience to remember and the WIIFM factor.

Remember that good speeches are always the result of doing good interviews, so remember to formulate some good questions and don't be shy about asking follow up questions and clarifying anything that may be unclear...right"

Tip ~ Always ask yourself what would be most interesting to you if you were in the audience! In other words...why should your audience care about what you have to say!

If your hero is someone from history or someone you cannot interview, be creative and look for other sources of background information such as articles, podcasts, on - air interviews, etc.
