Case: Vetter and his wife are adherents of the Jewish faith. Vetter selected the town in which he wished to relocate on the basis of its having an active religious community of his faith. His employer objected because it was too far from the place of employment. The first issue is whether an employee's residence may be determined by an employer. The second is, if so, may an exception be carried out to accommodate this employee because of his religious beliefs?
