Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you very much for being here. Thank you for allowing me to share my dreams for the future of this country. I am (insert your name) and I am here to announce my interest in running for president of this country.
So, why am I running for president? The answer to this question is simple. I want to be part of the solution to creating a solid public health system. Growing up, I have seen first-hand how public health crises destroy families. I lost two family members during the H1N1 pandemic in 2009. I know that at any given time, people in this room have lost friends and family to a public health crisis because our public health system could not respond to the crisis effectively. This is our shared story.
