You are going to deliver a persuasive speech to persuade citizens in your community to vote yes toward the allocation of city funds towards a project or cause that you believe will benefit all members of your community. Audience Expectations: complete both columns at least half of the criteria. Part 2: Persuasive Speech Outline (Using Monroe’s Motivated Sequence) - The outline is due in Module 5. The speech itself is due Module 7 Create a complete preparation outline using the template provided, using the five steps of Monroe’s Motivated Sequence (Attention, Need, Satisfaction, Visualization and Action) in order in your outline. Re-read the information in the Module 6 Lecture Notes to help you understand more fully what Monroe’s Motivated Sequence is and how to use it. (Be sure to watch both videos, too.) Persuading for Progress: Allocating City Funds to Enhance Community Well-Being Student’s Name Institution of Affiliation Course Date Audience Analysis Audience Demographics The target group of this town hall meeting includes people of different ages and backgrounds who live in this region. Most are middle-aged adults (35-60 years), with a relevant number of senior citizens (60+). It encompasses working people, pensioners, and business people of different educational backgrounds, mainly high school and college-level education. Most of the attendees are homeowners or those who have invested in rental houses with long-term tenancies, and as such, they want the best for their neighborhood. Audience Attitudes The audience is quite receptive to promoting community development, but only if the city's funds are well-utilized.
