Educational Attainment and Early Unwanted Pregnancy in the United States
Understanding the relationship between different socio-economic metrics is essential for anyone. It allows them to develop a better awareness of the social issues in light of the readily available data within society. In this article, the author would like to focus on the relationship between educational attainment and early unwanted (or unexpected) pregnancy in the United States. Notably, the research’s focus is whether lower educational attainment correlates to higher rates of an unexpected pregnancy in teens and young adults aged 15 to 35 years old. To do this, the research’s null hypothesis is the following “educational attainment has an inverse relationship with rates of an unexpected pregnancy.”
