Besides, about 57 million people are living in a pre-diabetic state with prominent early signs of disease development as well as high risks of developing lifestyle diseases. Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand for healthy function of the body. Therefore, a person needs to choose the right food in the correct quantity and combination of nutrients to provide energy, protection and build the body. However, eating without exercise is dangerous for the bodies since much of the unutilized nutritional elements are in the form of fats in adipose tissues. The complications that arise from such fats and sedentary lifestyle result to complications and diseases to people. Exercise nutrition involves getting the right amount of food which is nutritious coupled with exercise, good sleep for a healthy state of the body and wellness in general.

Exercise nutrition involves healthy eating with the performance of an exercise or active lifestyle for good health. Irrespective of the awareness on the proper diet and exercise, many people live a sedentary lifestyle. Therefore, a sedentary lifestyle is the primary cause of lifestyle-related diseases complications and deaths among the USA citizens (Lissner et al 886).
The proponents of exercise nutrition note that proper exercise and proper dieting enhance good appearance and longevity as well as healthy lives. In most cases, people who involve in activity usually are fit and healthy. Besides, such habit helps such people control their weight and a healthy heart and diet. Nutrition keeps the body in the perfect working condition and pace when adequately fed. Therefore, a person needs to know the right food and the right quality and quantity. The body needs the energy to ensure daily function and rest. Separately, the body usually functions concerning the type and amount of food that a person eats. Food is the fuel that body needs to get energy. The positive growth of body requires proper nutrition. For example, an athlete usually trains for competition and log much intensity and kilometers every week. Thus, such people need high carbohydrates and calories for high energy. Besides, the athletes need proteins to build the body muscles (Goolsby and Boniquit 108).
Secondly, exercise nutrition is a way of life. Practicing exercise nutrition requires an eating plan. Therefore, a person should take note of different factors such as age, physical activity, and health issues when developing such programs. For example, a young person who needs to maintain good health needs to eat freely since such a person does much exercise to burn out the high cholesterol. Thus, the person eats about 6 to 11 servings of grains, about 3-5 servings of fruits, four servings of vegetable and three servings of dairy. Besides, the person should eat three servings of meat with sparing consumption of fats and sugars per day. Furthermore, it is crucial to take eight glasses of water per day to stay healthy instead of taking high amounts of fatty foods with low fibers (Gebhardt, 72). However, many people are unable to control their food intake due to lack of proper food supply, poverty, and diseases. Therefore, it is essential to control food intake, emotional and mental status among others to get what the body needs. To accomplish such eating plans, a person needs to commence the plan with consumption of natural foods such as fruits, bread, cereals, pasta, vegetables, and potatoes. Separately, adherence to food groups that are ideal for good health enhances conformity to the eating plan. A healthy body needs proper eating habit that considers little foods from all the groups in each meal except the sweets. In the USA alone about 60 million people compromise sleep. Many of the Americans survive in the next day with few sleeping hours. Other people even extend working hours into the time allocated for rest to the extent that they only sleep for three hours. For the body to function in a healthy state, a person needs to sleep for 7 to 9 hours a night to regain strength, improve the immune system and maintain blood pressure. People with poor sleeping habits usually lose concentration in their activities, experience loses in memories and do not reason logically in their daily endeavors. Besides, such people typically have high blood pressure and reduce their productivity levels. Healthy cells in the body help in the promotion and production of antioxidants that protect cells from damage which cause aging. Irrespective of the age of a person, exercise helps in mental and functionality of cells in a person later in life.
