Why I Study In the U.S.?
Introduction
The United States of America is well known for its opportunities for higher learning, an aspect that gives an explanation as to why several American leaders earn their associate, doctorate, masters and bachelor’s certificates every year. In the early sixties and seventies, studying abroad was not an easy task to come by as compared to today. Given this, it is of importance to posit that the United States of America has some of the leading universities and learning institutions in the world, an aspect that is coupled with different infrastructural developments driven towards enhancing education (Ma 28). An instance of this can be depicted from the recent rankings that proved close to 15 state universities as the global leaders in the provision of education. Education remains an essential asset that spurs the growth and development of not only an individual but a community, nation, and the world, an aspect that significantly determines the intent of this paper. The primary rationale behind the development of this paper, therefore, remains in establishing the factors that influenced my decisions to study in the U.S.

Why I Study in the U.S.?
As established, the United States of America is well known for its opportunities for higher learning. However, for Chinese, America is considered as the best place to acquire higher studies, a reason that is simple. The United States higher education institutions offer the most adaptable and dynamic education system that is responsive to the needs of the world. In other words, irrespective of the discipline an individual seeks to pursue, American degrees are considered in any job market as the best, an aspect attributed to the practical orientation of the universities in the U.S (Lin 12). Foreign students from different countries and cultures such as China find studying in the U.S as an effective initiative since the learners are not only given tangible certificates and degrees, but acquire an wholesome education that focuses on problem solving. Upon completion of studies in America, students go back to their nations fully equipped with the knowledge and confidence required in solving some of the societal challenges faced in the world today.
In this case, it is significant to consider that learning institutions in the U.S emphasize on the need to acquire practical skills, a plus point that makes the universities in America the best institutions in the world. In my view, there is no point pursuing a degree on the theories of mass communication for close to three years in any institution if upon completion one will find it challenging to design and put a simple advertisement for a magazine. The cutting edge education system of the United States places this country as the leader in different areas of research and technology within the education sector. Studying in the U.S therefore exposes students to gain adequate knowledge and technical skills to advance their research levels and technology (Li et al, 36). Through this, students may be fortunate to share the same learning environments with the leading scholars and innovators within an individual’s chosen field of study. The students are therefore trained on different analytical skills that take into consideration different attributes such as observations, the analysis of problems, the inclusion of critical thought, and the development of a solution to some of the societal challenges that inhibit different nations. This goal is pragmatic in the sense that it helps learners gain the confidence and capacity to present and develop solutions into different problems.
Universities in the U.S and colleges differ on several elements from those in other countries in different ways. One of the common elements in other Universities includes the small class sizes and the lack of adequate infrastructures to enhance the process of learning. However, in the U.S, learners access a wide array of learning materials and infrastructures that foster the learning process among students. Through the U.S system of education, professors break out of the norms of educating students within the class setting, an aspect that is evident in the manner in which they make appointments to meet the students over coffee or share meals to set an environment that is suitable for the leaning process (Bartlett et al n.p). The close relationships developed between the faculties of learning institutions in the United States of America serves as an aspect that motivates the learners through the learning process, thus granting them the personal approach to the curriculum. In other words, studying in the U.S would grant me the opportunity to receive a mentor like system of education that helps in the development and achievement of my career goals. On the other hand, the professors have assimilated the inclusion of technology in enhancing the manner in which they facilitate their programs.
Professors in the universities as established by Wang are acknowledged in the society, with this granting them the opportunities to be authorities in their fields. In view of this, it is significant to establish that academic freedom remains a significant hallmark in the U.S. This therefore remains an important reason why many learners are influenced to pursue their studies in the United States of America since they would want to acquire the best technical skills and knowledge from some of the authorities in different disciplines.
