Research Paper Instructions:

This research paper should write about the causes of smog in China. The impact of Smog, for example, what disease does it bring and what damage it has to human living environment? Whether the effective control of this phenomenon of environmental pollution. Its future trend in China, or even in the whole world. The point is how serious of the diseases that were brought by the Smog. Please be sure to have real examples, but also have a personal point of view.

Smog in China
Introduction
Environmental pollution is among the major concerns of the world. Air pollution is the worst and dangerous problem because of the negative effects it has on human health. Most of the available literature focus on the impact of air pollution on public health especially respiratory diseases that affect the people exposed to pollutants.
China is one of the most developed countries in the world. Many industries are emerging and thus making China’s industrial sector to skyrocket and with its construction of mega factories and amenities to facilitate the high growth rate. China is undergoing an industrial golden time currently. Its extraordinary economic achievement in the past two decades has helped more than half a million get out of poverty. However, the extraordinary achievements have been as a result of heavy industrial pollution (burning of coal and increase in the number of automobiles). Despite the high technological advancement and industrial growth, China has recorded very low and poor environment management. Level of pollution of air, soil and water is alarming. Studies have pointed out the problem of fog in the country is hitting a record level and it is suffering the worst air pollution in history.
The geographical location of the country also makes several environmental aspects to be at the extremes hence aiding in pollution. Temperature for instance can drop to very low temperatures during some part of the year. The mountainous landscape of China is also a major determinant of the weather hence making air pollution very intense during the warmer seasons. Seasons bring with them different type of weather and thus making the climate of China to oscillate between the extremes.
Smog which is a combination of two words “Smoke” and “fog” is an air pollutant. On the exposure to the free air, it can be very hazardous if it pollutes the environment. People who are exposed to smog are prone and vulnerable to many diseases which can sometimes even be fatal. China, is located away from the tropics and thus it is cold hence adversely and seriously affected by smog.
The smoke from the industries and the fog from the cold and wet air combine to form the smog. This smog is thus common in the most industrialized cities in China. Beijing is one of the cities where smog is really a problem where seeing the blue sky is limited in a period that is about one month a year where you can see the blue sky.
This despite posing a great danger to the health of human beings, the smog also spreads some communicable diseases. The effects and its controlling methods to curb it motivated the need of this research.
Background information
Smog is composed of fog and smoke, however, the smoke can be composed of dust, like Sulphur acid and its compounds, nitric acid nitrogen compounds, organic hydrocarbons and other organic and inorganic particles. Smog also make the atmosphere and the surrounding cloudy, blurred vision and lead to reduction of visibility to a few meters, which seriously affect the traffic as the drivers cannot see far. The word “smog” became a key word in 2013 in China because of appearing in a total of four smog air pollution coverage, and they covered more than 30 provinces and cities.
The smoke that combines with fog can be formed in so many ways. Automobile exhaust, industrial emissions, construction dust, garbage incineration or even volcanic eruptions are some of the ways. However, the fog pollution in various regions vary depending on the source of the smog.
Some easy ways to protect ourselves from smog and its harmful effects include wearing masks when we go outside in the smog, drinking more tea and coffee, providing the appropriate amount of vitamin D to our bodies, having a light diet and drink plenty of water, eating a lot vegetable, and to avoid foggy environment for relaxing or exercise. You can change morning exercise after the sun comes out, that people can also be changed to indoor exercise. Once this smog is formed, it is very hard to destroy it since they have already chemically combined and it effect when it is in this form is harmful
A city like Beijing only has five days without smog in a whole year which is very alarming and critical. According to my survey, most of the air in northern China have the number of PM 2.5 is over 300 per cubic meter. President of China Xi Jinping in a statement said that the primary task of improving air quality is to control the number of PM2.5 (“China Declares 'People's War' on Pollution as Smog Envelops Beijing” 1). It is necessary to reduce the rate of coal consumption in China, strict control of the car exhaust composition and adjust the industry compliance to the pollution policy that the government has put in place to reduce the rate and magnitude of air pollution.
Significance of the Research
The importance of this research is to educate and bring to people’s awareness that air pollution and specifically smog is a harmful thing that should be avoided with any means possible. The research will enlighten everybody that smog is a silent killer and has caused many deaths in China. The smog not only causes diseases but also transmit from one person to another. The research will also aim at the current government strategies that the government has put in place to curb or sustain the smog situation and whether or not the strategies are effective or not.
The research will also put in open the specific effects of smog and how it affects the people that it comes across. Diseases that are caused by the smog will be analyzed and their cure and any procedure that may help the victims recover from the effects of the fog. The research will also involve methods to prevent or reduce the effects of smog in areas that are highly affected by smog due to industries. This will help reduce the number of victims that are affected by the smog. The rights of a citizen who is being affected by this fog will also be discussed so that everyone will know how to prevent from occurring to other and thus reducing the overall effect smog.
Description and analysis of the problem
The government of China is under great pressure to end this menace. However, the government efforts to curb the pollution have not been very successful because the companies are still producing toxic waste that they releasing them on the atmosphere. In my view the government should have a very big say on how the industries respond and follow responsively the government rules and regulations. According to my own research the following are the main possible causes of pollution and smog in China and the effects on people and how they live.
Soil contamination is now the major concern because the locals are suffering because of soil contamination which results from probably the acid rains which is formed when different constituents of the smog react with rain water. This has made their crops to deteriorate and thus making enough food production not attainable.
The water that is used for irrigation is also contaminated and thus cannot not be effective. If this water is used for irrigation the farm nutrients will hit a...
