We covered that.). In this assignment, present a well-organized, coherent presentation that includes your own thoughts, opinions, and observations. Your project should be focused around a central element of music technology, which you must present convincingly and supported by evidence. You must consult outside sources, and when you do be sure to cite them properly.)

Write 7-8 pages in prose, double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman. Include a bibliography using the proper MLA or Chicago style formats.
Presentation:
In your groups divide the work equally so that each member contributes to the project as a whole. You will be graded individually on this project—this is the prevent anyone from doing more work than another person. Each person must be prepared to present for no less than 15 minutes. The amount of information on the notes for each person should be roughly 6-8 pages, depending on the nature of the presentation. You must turn your notes (preferably via email) after you have presented. If you do not turn in your notes, your grade will be marked down.
You will need to listen to the music related to the technology you are discussing and you will want to think about its content contextually. When preparing to write about the music, you may wish to think of your piece in analytical terms. Consider the following musical elements as they may be related to technology:
• form (how is your piece of music structured?)
• forces (what voices and/or instruments perform the piece?)
• timbre (the sound “color” of instruments)
• texture (interrelationships between different voices/instruments; layers of instrumentation and use of instruments at different points in the piece),
• harmony (how do pitches relate to eachother? Are they consonant or dissonant?)
• tempo (is it a fast dance tune or a slow funeral march?)
• poetic text (the lyrics, if any, including the work’s title)
• performance practice (in what style is the piece performed)

Introduction
Digitization in music has simplified access to music. Nowadays, CDs and DVDs are not the only mediums for listening to music. Also, access to music is not limited to visiting a store to access music. Music can be downloaded or listened to online by just connecting to the internet. This has been enabled by digital technology and high-speed internet (Mathew 117).
Formerly, music studios were tasked with the production and recording of music in studios. The music CDs and DVDs were then distributed to retails outlets. Among the renowned music outlets was Music World retail outlet. It majored in music CDs, DVDs, software, and gaming consoles. This outlet was among the earliest outlets to be opened in 1997. By 2003, this outlet had established several franchises. It had also opened approximately 40 shops in USA.it was estimated that the shops occupied approximately 50,000 square feet. However, with the emergence of digital technology in 2012, the music outlets were forced to downsize (Mathew 64).
Research Objective
The symbolic MPEG representation of music was launched to establish a general notation in the modeling of music in both visual and audio aspects in SMR. The symbolic music representations which were enabled by digital music technology included various styles of Jazz, Rock, Romantic, chant, percussion, and Pop styles. The integration of SMR into the multimedia framework of MPEG audio, video, digital, and interactivity technology was noted to cause a growth in application numbers. This paper will, therefore, look into the impact of digital technology on the form, forces, timbre, texture, harmony, poetic text, and performance practices of music.
Literature review
Impact of digital technology on music
Digital recording technology has brought the complete transformation of the sonic quality of music. This has enabled the engineers in the studio not only to capture the music. They have also been able to reproduce the music. The music listeners, on the other hand, have enjoyed music, which is clear. The dynamic range of music has also been accessible to music fans (Book 53). This technology has enabled the art of mixing music to be achieved. Consequently, the goal of enticing the emotional response from the listeners has been achieved to a great extent.
The revolution in the music industry was substantially caused by the evolution of digital communication formats and devices. This produced fundamental changes in the music notation and presentation approach. Consequently, the coding system was transformed from simple visual to a composite tool, which was applied in modeling the produced music in multimedia and computer applications. This raised the need for presenting music using a multilayer model, which was also applied for the production of sheet music.
Music modeling
Several XLM-compliant languages have been designed for music modeling. They include Music Markup language (MML), WEDELMUSIC, Music XML, and Music Notation Markup Language (MNML). These modeling tools are designed to preserve and interchange music elements.
Efforts to standardize music were undertaken using SDML and NIFF. This was undertaken as it was noted each of the modeling codes could only meet the specific needs of the digital music technology. Additionally, the coding languages were also noted to not accommodate the innovations and applications which were emerging as per the requirements of MPEG on the representation of music symbolically contained in ISO/IEC SC29WG11, W6689 document. Among the significant mileages in digital music, technology includes innovations in 3-D virtual reality, synchronizations, and complex animations.
Decoding of music
Coding and rendering technologies of audio and graphics in music are currently in the application in the music industry. SMR monitors visual and logical aspects. SMR considers the graphical, visual, logical, and audio aspects which are already in existence in MPEG. The manner in which the SMR is rendered is determined by the information available.
The integration of SMR into MPEG enables the modeling of massive rich music content. Simultaneously, several relationships are established by the SMR and music format. These relationships play a fundamental role in the composition and synchronization of music with other types of media. MPEG-4 system does carry data, which is vital in the process of configuration and synchronization.

Additionally, the system contains structures of data for media streaming. This raises the possibility of encapsulating the entire data in a file format, which is adequate. MIDI facilitates the flexibility and richness of SMR. SMR decoder offers a platform that supports SA stream, which contains MIDI, as illustrated in REF _Ref26891535 \h \* MERGEFORMAT Figure 1. The music score SMR node is also applied in attaching to the scene the information on symbolic information. SMR information is processed via SM-XF chunks. This is achieved based on rules which are laid down for formatting to achieve the SMR desired output. Bellini et al.
