The Relationships Between Mothers' Health and Breastfeeding
There are different relationships between lactating mother and breastfeeding particularly in the health status of them. Breastfeeding protects parous women from breast cancer which is a dangerous health issue among women, particularly during the onset of their monthly periods and at their first time to give birth. Negatively breastfeeding can causes problems in the bone metabolism of the lactating mother. Due to continued lactating of infants, mothers suffer from osteoporosis, resulting from excessive transferring of calcium minerals from mother to child during the breastfeeding process. The breastfeeding can result in alteration in the body weights in the health of a lactating mother. In this context, breastfeeding can make mothers lose body weight since the first period of post-partum is slow, making them lose nutrients to inform their infants (Chowdhury et al. 96). The loss of body weight is also significant for lactating mothers because it prevents them from obesity, thus maintaining optimum body weight.
