60 Seconds in the News Health, Medicine, Nursing Research Paper

The lay media, including social media, are communication outlets for the public. Communication about health especially related to weight (gain or loss) and factors associated with weight (eating and physical activity) make headlines or show up in social media feeds every day. To demonstrate the abundance of information in the media over the course of the semester find one source of communication (published between February 10, 2020 and May 11, 2020).



You will submit your source of communication (e.g. news article, snapshot of an Instagram post, hyperlink, etc.) along with a 300-word discussion about where you found it, why you selected this piece of communication and how it is related to this class. Documentation (e.g. PDF of the article, snapshot of information on social media, audio clip, etc.) of the communication (that includes the publication date) must be submitted with your written discussion.
