1. Using the survey that you constructed in the Module you need to identify each of the following variables and their appropriate measurement of central tendency. interval/ratio variable and its appropriate measures of central tendency
2. Identify 2 variables in your Workshop survey that you would like to check for a correlation. Keep this simple - this is just an exercise to show that you can identify levels of measurement and picking the right type of correlation.
Name the 2 variables that you want to use
Identify the level of measurement of both variables (my advice is to pick 2 variables that have the same level of measure – like 2 nominal or 2 ordinal)
Identify the appropriate correlation statistic for these levels of measurement:
Lambda - 2 nominal level variables; Gamma - 2 ordinal level variables; Pearson - 2 interval/ratio level variables
3. Differentiate between causation and correlation.
4. Explain the meaning of statistical significance and why it is important.
