A Description of Observation:
Based on the current statistics, there is a small share of Americans who are serving within the military. With the low number of individuals enrolling in military, people who choose to be engaged in service demonstrate a high degree of patriotism. There is also a growing disconnect between American civilians and people serving in military. While there are many Americans with people who once served military, there are fewer individuals who have interest in military service.
The Observation: In America, it is evident that military officers are more patriotic compared to civilians. This is because service to the country demonstrates a high degree of love and patriotisms, and many people, including civilians, consider serving in military to be more patriotic.
The Model
Military offers are more patriotic and demonstrate a high love for the country. With the few numbers interested in military service, committing to serve and have a lifelong career as an officer demonstrates a high degree of patriotism. During the era of the two world wars, many people were interested and motivated to join military as a way of demonstrating their love for the country.
