Progress Report Student’s Name Institution Course Professor’s Name Date I have made significant progress in studying Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) interventions and their effectiveness in promoting resilience to wildfires and related calamities in Texas. The research focuses on understanding how involving local communities in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery processes can improve resilience against the increasing threat of wildfires. Communities living in Texas have been hugely affected by constant wildfires. According to Morehead (2023), there were over 12,411 wildfires that burned 650,000 acres in 2022. In terms of success, extensive data on the role of CBDRM in Texas is yet to be gathered from secondary sources. Communities with well-implemented CBDRM programs have demonstrated better preparedness, faster response times, and shorter recovery periods.
