Despite being busy, we have had great memories during this period since everyone sacrificed to make our relationship work. Moreover, whenever the person had an issue, we were ready to discuss and solve it as a team. However, one week after she secured a new job last month, I noticed she was distant. I did not raise the issue since I thought she was trying to adapt to the new environment. However, she started to get more distant when I texted her, and she would take even more than a day before responding. When I raised the issue, she told me that she was taking time to know her new friends, and I was starting to be controlling. When I asked again why she was not replying to my text, she told me that if I was insecure about the relationship, I should quit rather than continue to pressure her. These words made me angry, prompting a verbal confrontation. However, things escalated, and the heated argument turned physical. She hit me with the remote on the head, which triggered me to hit her. She went and told her brother that I had assaulted her, which prompted her brother to assault me. These injuries were severe, and I was admitted to the hospital. My parents reported the case to the police, which prompted the arrest of my girlfriend's brother. My girlfriend and I have been blaming each other for the arrest of her brother. Her family had requested that I take Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), where we would solve our case out of court. We have also agreed that we will solve our case in or out of court. Part 2 This case has primary, secondary, and third parties or mediators. The primary parties are the people who have been directly in the conflict. For example, I am a primary party since I played a part in the conflict by raising the issue of her being distant. Moreover, I engaged in verbal and physical confrontations, which made the issue escalate. My girlfriend is also a primary party since she was directly involved in the conflict. For example, she was rude when I told her how distant she was. Additionally, she engaged in a physical confrontation, escalating the issue. Secondary parties are the individuals whom the conflict has indirectly impacted. Moreover, this group is interested in conflict resolution since the result of the conflict will affect them. One of the secondary parties in the conflict was her brother since he physically assaulted me, and I sustained serious injuries in revenge for her sister, which made my family report him to the police.
