According to Rao (2017), servant leaders have a set of values and beliefs that compel them to work for the good of the people they are leading. Mother Teresa was a servant leader who lived a religious life and denied herself all her wealth for people. She was both a nun and a charity worker in India and started various missionaries’ activities. She worked with the poor and sick, dedicated herself to impacting the lives of others (Rao, 2017). She received a Nobel Peace Prize and India’s civilian honor due to her charity works. She demonstrated a more Christ-like character with a focus on her mission of helping the most unfortunate people living in remote areas. She motivated her followers to continue the purpose of improving the needy. She was also very charismatic in the way she helped everyone despite their status or race.
