Incel Deviance Subculture's Impact on Society
Introduction
Incel is a word used to describe a group of men that get to be celibate involuntarily. They proclaim to be denied this right as a result of various cultural shifts. Incel also believes that because of their biological essentialism, they are positioned at the lowest in the social hierarchy and that this greatly contributes to their failure to find a sex partner (Papadamou et al., 2020). The term Incel was coined by a Canadian woman, Alana, in the 1990s, and its major objective was for her to portray how hard it is for her to find a sexual partner (Sugiura, 2021). Thus, the Incel's perspective and beliefs in the '90s vary entirely from what the Incel deviance subculture is associated with in today's world.
Today, Incels believe that the purpose of every human life is to produce and have sex. However, they are blocked from even getting a sex partner because of their monstrous appearance. As a result, this group of individuals deems themselves undermined and that women are their major enemy (O'Malley, 2022). Consequently, they deem women as evil beings who deny them their basic right to reproduce and have sex. Furthermore, because members of this group are frustrated, the disappointment encourages them to engage in disturbing behavior, such as Pederasty (Papadamou et al. 2020). The topic of Incel deviance is a critical issue that needs to be discussed because, in the modern era of social media, the group continues to grow (Ging, 2019). People who deem themselves ugly continue to join together and spread this ideology. As a result, women continue to be demonized, and this may lead to other adverse effects for women in society. Therefore, the paper will describe how the Incel community affects the local dating community, why the group continues to grow, and some of the positive effects it has on society.

Reasons why does the Incel Group continue to grow
Incel deviance Subcultures continue to grow globally because of the availability of the internet, which makes it possible for people from different parts of the world to speak to each other and share similar ideas (Papadamou et al., 2020). Additionally, individuals feel that they can speak their minds without fear through social media. This encourages individuals in these social groups to be brutal with their words since they are not physically present. Furthermore, the idea that manhood is a precarious social status that is difficult to attain and constantly under threat encourages the group to grow (Ging, 2019). According to Sugiura (2021), individuals belonging to this group deem womanhood as only a function of permanent biological maturity; hence, women do not have to do much to earn and own it. As a result of this thinking, many individuals continue to join the Incel group, believing that they are earning the right to be called men.
World View of Incel
According to Sugiura (2021), various Incel research indicates one unique aspect adopted by individuals in this group is the "the black pill." In other aspects of the manosphere, a red pill is used symbolically to indicate that an individual gets a chance to see things as they really are. However, in the Incel deviance subculture, the back pill takes another form to depict that there is no change that will ever occur and that it is unproductive to have hope (Ging, 2019). Hence, it encourages a sense of hopelessness, and this leads to individuals seeing themselves as inferior and losers. Additionally, according to O'Malley (2002), the Incel deviance subculture demands compulsory sexuality. As a result, they do not believe in intimacy without sex. Therefore, for this group, sex is primary, and when it's not being given, their right to be able to reproduce and have sex is infringed. As a result, the individuals in this group view themselves as lesser beings than individuals who have access to sex (Papadamou et al., 2020). Thus, the major ideology is that their external appearance is denying them a basic right rather than the situation they have created for themselves.
Another world view of the Incel deviance subculture is the marketization of sexuality. According to O'Malley (2022), individuals in this group believe that sexuality is usually organized into a market-like structure. Consequently, the level of attractiveness accorded to one man and not to another is mainly based on their level of attractiveness (Ging, 2019). The value of attractiveness is deemed to be non-negotiable. Hence, this is the major determiner of a man's success in the sexual market (Ging, 2019). The primary ideology is that women hold all the power, and this has resulted in men being oppressed by being denied their right to basic needs of sex (Papadamou et al., 2020). Due to this, the Incels feel that women are the enemy, and this has resulted in their wanting to oppress women. They even condone and seem to encourage various acts of violence against women as ways of gaining power over creatures they assume are selfish.
Additionally, the other world view is that women are naturally evil. Individuals in this group deem themselves as a group of people that have the capability to provide unconditional love, but because of the animistic nature of women, they are denied this opportunity. As a result, a culture of violence is encouraged to ensure men regain their stature in society (Papadamou et al., 2020). Consequently, a large group of individuals in this group share a history of violence against women. In Incel social group, mass murder is valorized, and those that perpetrate these acts are referred to as Incel saints. According to Currier (2021), Seung-Hui Cho's actions in the Virginia Tech in 2007 entailed a mass shooting, leaving 33 people killed and 17 seriously injured. However, despite this act being brutal, it is highly praised in this group (Harm and Tertiary Deviance and Normalization, 2022). Furthermore, these acts are deemed necessary and effective in those social groups. According to Papadamou et al. (2020), as a result, violence against women in the Incel groups starts to be normalized and its regarded an effective method for men to regain the power they claim to have lost to women.
