The criminal justice system is a societal network comprised of government, state, city, and private institutions tasked with managing criminals who have been charged or convicted. Its fundamental goal is to bring justice to all people by prosecuting and punishing the guilty and assisting them in stopping their criminal behavior while protecting the innocent. It is made up of interconnected pillars such as law enforcement, forensic services, the judiciary, and corrections. It consists of policies and programs that aid in its operation. Policies' main purpose is to advise criminal justice officials, which is especially important when there is a need for discretion. Different policies control the security of public and private properties in my town (Criminal Justice Policy, 2017).
These regulations are used to support and govern the behaviors of irresponsible persons who do not care about the environment or the well-being of other members of the community. Damages to public street lighting and other important facilities, drug addiction, private property destruction, reckless rubbish wasting, and peace-breaking policies are among them. Several significant stakeholders participating in our society's criminal justice programs help to design and regulate these policies (Criminal Justice Policy, 2017). Political figures, such as members of our state's congressional delegation, are examples of such individuals. Sponsors in Congress have sponsored measures that influence our society's criminal justice system, and after a time of debate and discussion about the proposed policies, members of the governing body have voted on the bill, and it has been signed into law by the state's administration (Criminal Justice Policy, 2017).
