Technological advancements have changed how the aviation industry performs its daily operations across the world. Cloud Computing has evolved from the 1960s when J.C.R. Licklider introduced the concept of providing computing resources via the application of the public network. However, several professionals trust that John McCarthy an American computer scientist was the first to present the concept of cloud computing where he stated that computation can be presented as a public utility. The idea has changed through different phases that include grid computing, utility computing, automatic computing.
The aviation industry is expanding steadily each year due to increased number of passengers. Hence, airlines have turned to cloud computing to enhance their systems to incorporate large quantities of data.
