Assignment 4: Writing a Mock Thesis with Microsoft Word Your task in this assignment is to create a well-formatted mock thesis paper with Microsoft Word using dummy text found here. The final deliverable will be one Word document meeting requirements listed below. Save the document as a .docx file and submit it through Moodle. The purpose of this assignment is to use and learn some advanced word processing techniques. Launch a blank word document. Text: Copy the following headings into the text in the given order. Be sure to follow the heading levels indicated. The title, ToC, and list of tables and figures should be in this order on the first page of the document. Select one of the built-in templates to insert a table of contents on this page. Page numbers: To add page numbers, go to the Insert tab and click on Page Number > Bottom of Page. Change the page number so that it is in format Page # of #, where the first # is the current page number and the second # is the total number of pages. Margins: Go to Layout > Margins > Custom Margins. Make the margins 2 cm on every side. Image: Go to Insert > Pictures. Select an image and resize it to be between 9 cm and 13 cm in both (horizontal and vertical) dimensions. Give the image a caption by selecting it, going to References > Insert Caption. In the Caption textbox of the Caption dialogue, type in a colon (:) after “Figure 1” and type a description of the image. Table: Go to Insert > Table > Insert Table. Insert 6 rows and 3 columns. The top rows should have text headings while the other 5 should be filled with random numeric data. Give the table a caption following the same steps taken to caption the image. This caption should read: Table 1: (suitable text describing the table). List of Figures (& Tables): Place the cursor where you want to place the list. Go to References > Insert Table of Figures. In the Table of Figures dialogue, select Figure (or Table) from the Caption Label dropdown in the General group. You may leave other selections in the dialogue as they are or change them as required. Citations: Each report should have references. Word is very good at organizing citations. First go to References and in the Citations & Bibliography group, pull down the Style dropdown and select “APA Sixth Edition”. Next, place the cursor after the last word of any sentence in the first paragraph of the Introduction section and select Insert Citation > Add New Source. Fill out details of a book or article without leaving any of the fields blank. Insert a second citation at the end of the Conclusion and Future Work section to show the source of the dummy text. Evaluation Method
Evaluating whether the intervention is effective focuses on decrease in the rate of patient fall and reduction on the absolute number of patients falling. Procedure
