My research question is: Is the promotion of cultural healthcare organizations critical to improving their efficiency and effectiveness? Finding the answer to this question requires a multidiscipline perspective using the insights and theories of all relevant disciplines. Some of the relevant disciplines include sociology, anthropology, psychology, epidemiology, biostatistics, health sciences, and cultural studies. Adequacy refers to the ability to know about a specific discipline to understand how it approaches, explains, and addresses a problem when conducting interdisciplinary research. My research shows that culture is a critical determinant in health care and health seeking behaviors among all groups and populations. The research also indicates that the failure to understand and consider the cultural peculiarities of each group or population results in poor health outcomes and limited health literacy.
There were no conflicts between insights or theories in the interdisciplinary study. All research articles agreed that cultural and personal perceptions of health care service, clinicians, and illness affected health care seeking behavior, medication adherence, public engagement in health literacy programs, and health behaviors. The conclusions drawn from my research are that cultural beliefs and practices must be factored in any public health undertaking. Ideas for future research related to my topic center around the influence of communication strategies and slavery in modern establishments on health care outcomes. I would approach my research topic from the biblical viewpoint of exhaustively looking for the truth and critically analyzing every source to arrive at the most truthful facts.

This source is critical to my secondary area of study because it demonstrates the dangers of conflating slavery with indentureship as relates to Africans and their descendants.

This source is critical to my primary area of study because it demonstrates how people’s perception of the virus, politics, and handling of the pandemic influences their health behaviors.

It determined that the most important factors influencing health-related outcomes are workplace health culture and certain demographic characteristics such as income and age. This source is critical to my primary area of study because it demonstrates how workplace culture is a major determinant of positive health behaviors, self-rated health, and happiness.
