The nursing profession requires collaboration among its members rather than relying on one individual to handle all tasks to accomplish desired results. Cooperation in nursing refers to providing outpatient care as a cohesive unit. Collaboration is made possible when healthcare professionals from all backgrounds collaborate with patients, other caregivers, clinicians, families, and the community they serve to deliver high-quality care. Collaboration in the medical sector has reduced preventable harmful drug reactions, reduced rates of death and morbidity, and optimized pharmaceutical dosages, all of which have improved patient outcomes. Workload reduction and increased job satisfaction are two benefits of collaboration in the healthcare industry. Quality patient care is a common objective shared by clinical nurses and nurse managers. The study identifies active listening and innovative and creative thinking as principles of collaboration and discusses their application to nurse-nurse and nurse-patient relationships.
In addition to providing excellent nursing care, a well-established practice environment makes nurses feel that their work matters and is valued. Because they are not frightened of failing, nurses and other professionals may thrive and prosper at work due to the principles of the learning environment (ANA & AONE, n.d.). Though this idea is not entirely clear, innovation in nursing care has produced tools that make tasks easier, save time, improve care quality, and lighten the workload for nurses (Cheraghi et al., 2021).
