Therefore, in this context of care, there are different ideas and facts that executives in long term care incur as well as those in mental health institutions. Thus, the support needed is important in raising the boundaries and vision obtained and the working philosophy, (Wager, 2009). These are the opportunities and challenges these groups of medical institutions incur during the concept of taking care of their patients and institutions.
Opportunities
Long term care and mental health institutions are important in offering extensive care in the development and creation of systems important for serving their many needs. Thus, the ability of the institutions to offer support and efficiency is essential, hence, the availability of financial services in the organization and sufficient acquisition of resources. Financial support is necessary and important in the allocation of services and offering of extensive care in the organization. For example long term patients require extensive medical support with close monitoring (Katz, 2004). Therefore, both of these institutions are amplified and supported by the opportunity of financial support, thus gaining the necessary services and activities needed.
Another opportunity is having qualified personnel at their disposal. These resources are important in supporting the development and establishment of necessary activities and services for the institutions. Thus, qualified personnel are important in supporting the creation and offering of services of integrity, precise and professionalism. Adding value is another advantage of having qualified physicians, doctors, nurses, psychologists and practitioners. More importantly extra financial support and qualified personnel increase the stability and methods of administering to patients. As a result, the ability of the institutions and their executives to offer technological services in supporting their services can be achieved. The 21st century has seen the incorporation of different technological services in offering and support and medical diagnosis to their patients.
Challenges
Although the positions of executives are important and necessary, there are divisions and measures of deficiency in terms of production, performance and employment opportunities.
