Research Paper Instructions:

The final research paper represents the culmination of those critical conversations and writing techniques studied throughout the semester. There are two criteria with regard to subject matter: the subject of the paper must relate to healthcare and it must be a concern that is topical or current. You are to identify a significant healthcare concern and then explore what is happening with regard to that topic in modern medicine. The subject you choose might relate to trends in nursing, patient care, epidemiology, treatments, surgeries, insurance, technology, or pharmaceuticals. Though your personal experiences may provide the foundation for your writing, the paper should adopt a critical and objective perspective. Once you have identified the subject matter that you would like to explore, research the topic carefully in order to prepare for the final paper.

The finished research paper should be eight to ten pages, feature no less than three academic sources, and adhere to strict APA format. It must be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, double spaced, with one inch margins. Be certain to include a title page, abstract, and a complete References page. (The page count for the essay does not include the title page, abstract, or References page.)

Abstract
The heart is one of the critical organs in the individual's body due to its outstanding functions. For instance, it helps to pump deoxygenated blood to different body parts. The heart will also receive the deoxygenated blood and pump it to the lungs to be oxygenated. Moreover, it also circulates different hormones and nutrients to varying body parts. The heart also helps to maintain the individual's blood pressure. This is one of the main reasons that the heart is one of the most protected organs in the individual's body. However, despite this protection, there are some instances where the heart can suffer from varying health conditions. Since most of these conditions are critical, most people seek treatment. Even though these health conditions can be fatal, most could have been controlled if identified earlier. These instances have improved most people's interest in researching heart disease due to the fear that they could also be affected. The paper is therefore looking forward to helping the people suffering from heart disease and those who fear having it to know the signs they can check, the challenges they can face, and ways they could employ to manage them.

Over the years, there have been myths around the whole issue of heart disease. Most people fear heart disease and undergo tests for these conditions. Moreover, after people get a heart attack, they usually give up on their life. The main reason is that these individuals think this condition usually marks their life's end. The target audience of this writing is the suffering individuals or those suspected of having heart disease. For instance, the writing will show the signs people should check to identify to know whether they have this condition. This will help them to self-evaluate themselves even before moving to the doctor.
Furthermore, the other target for this research is the individuals infected by heart disease. For instance, recently, some people have failed to seek treatment after they noted that they have a heart condition. One of the reasons is these individuals believe they cannot recover from this condition. Therefore, the research looks forward to eliminating these individuals' stigma regarding heart disease. This process will be outstanding through creating awareness regarding the issues and eliminating the myths people have believed in over the years.
There are various reasons why it is more important to study this subject currently than at any other time. For instance, over the years, the cases of heart disease have been over years. For instance, the U.S. and the world have recorded the highest number of cases of heart disease than ever. One of the reasons that these cases have been high is that most people are ignorant regarding the measures they could have controlled. For example, most people maintain a sedentary lifestyle, increasing the risk of heart disease. Furthermore, there have been other instances where people eat unhealthy food, increasing the risk of heart disease.
The other reason why it is important to study this subject is due to the myths and misconceptions surrounding the whole issue. For instance, over the years, there has been less research regarding heart disease. This instance has made people to only base their information based on misconceptions. The research is therefore looking to create awareness of the right information. For instance, the research will help individuals understand the best measures they can apply to reduce high instances of heart disease. Furthermore, the research will also encourage more people to seek treatment early for the conditions they have been suffering from. The main reason for this approach is that the earlier these individuals seek treatment, the higher the chances of receiving outstanding treatment.
Furthermore, this study will educate the target audience on the importance of not giving up on their health. This process will help reduce the mental issues the following groups suffer from. Consequently, the research looks forward to educating individuals on different treatment options they can choose from. For instance, despite the advancement in technology helping to invent many treatment options for heart disease, only a few people know the latest options they can have. Therefore, this study will look forward to introducing people to the latest treatment options they could embrace.
Even though there are different types of heart disease, some have affected most people recently. For instance, some have Coronary heart disease, where the individual’s blood muscle is interrupted or blocked by the fatty substances buildup in the coronary arteries (Pandey et al., 2020). Most people who are reporting it usually have high rates of fat. If the coronary artery is completely blocked, the individual will likely experience a heart attack, usually a medical emergency. In other instances, people suffer from a stroke after the blood supply in the brain is interfered with. It is critical to study stroke since there are some instances where it can cause brain damage or even death. Moreover, the person is likely to have a drooped face to one side, cannot lift arms or maintain them in a lifted position, and have slurred or garbled speech. In other instances, individuals suffer from peripheral artery disease when they have a blockage in the arteries around the limbs. This condition causes the blockage or narrowing of vessels that transfer the blood from the heart to the legs. This condition is commonly caused by the fatty plaque buildup in the arteries, which is atherosclerosis. Like other heart conditions, it is likely to worsen if this condition is not managed. The other condition most people suffer from is an aortic disease when the person has an injury in the aorta. Individuals should seek treatment for this condition since they will likely experience back, abdominal, or chest pains if not managed.
One of the reasons we have experienced high cases of heart disease is the lifestyle we have embraced. One of the ways we can therefore reduce these rates is by knowing which ways to increase the latest trends that individuals have embraced that expose people to the risk of heart disease so that we can avoid them. One way that is exposing most people to this problem is increased smoking. For example, Sumartiningsih et al., 2019 have highlighted that nicotine and carbon monoxide produced from smoke are the common cause of heart disease that individuals are experiencing. In most smoking increases the risk of having blood clots. There are also other instances where the chemicals in the cigarette damage the lining in the individual's coronary arteries, making them have arteries furring.
The other condition that increases heart disease risk is unmanaged high blood pressure. In most instances, hypertension strains the heart, increasing the risk of coronary heart disease. On the other hand, high cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease. Even though some cholesterol is good, other cholesterol is bad. For instance, excess cholesterol is likely to build up in the individual's artery walls. This instance will likely limit the blood flow in the individual's heart, increasing the risk of heart disease. In other instances, high levels of lipoprotein, a fat produced by the liver, increase the risk of atherosclerosis or cardiovascular disease. There are sometimes when high levels of lipoprotein be inherited from parents. For example, there are sometimes when heart conditions are running in some families.
A sedentary lifestyle is the other reason for increasing the risk of heart disease. For instance, inactive individuals are likely to have fatty deposits in their arteries, which increase the risk of a heart attack. Furthermore, you can have a stroke if the arteries supplying blood to the heart are affected. Moreover, this lifestyle can make you obese, increasing your heart disease risk. In other instances, people with unmanaged diabetes are at a higher risk of coronary heart disease. The main reason is that high blood sugar levels damage the nerves and the blood vessels that control the heart. For instance, diabetes causes the thinning of the lining of blood vessels, making them thicker and restricting blood flow. Thrombosis is another factor highlighted as a major cause of heart attack. The main reason is the blood clot in the vein or artery will prevent the blood supply to the heart muscle, increasing the risk of a heart attack.
One of the reasons that most people delay seeking treatment is th...
