Clinical systems facilitate the delivery of healthcare services to enhance health outcomes. Applying clinical systems creates significant improvements in both workflow and patient care. Clinical information systems were chosen as the focus of this report due to their capacity to facilitate more patient-centered and evidence-based care delivery. It has outstanding potential to reduce medical errors, cut unnecessary costs, increase legibility, and boost healthcare quality. The primary role of clinical information systems is to capture, keep, process, and timely transfer healthcare information to clinical decision-makers for rapid and correct decisions. The report is a critical analysis of peer-reviewed articles on applying clinical information systems to enhance efficiencies and outcomes in healthcare.

The lessons learned in this appraisal are that EHRs improve documentation, thus enhancing the completeness and accuracy of patients' data. Further, EHRs facilitate accurate patient risk evaluations and quality appraisal, enabling more instant intervention as required. In addition, EHRs include resources that support clinical decision-making, healthcare information sharing, and care coordination. There is promising evidence of the potential benefits of EHRs application in healthcare. The government needs to make significant investments to implement clinical information systems in diverse healthcare settings.

As mobile health technologies usage in healthcare continues to expand, it is expected to constitute a life-changing tool among the elderly.
The lesson learned in this article is that mobile health creates a perception of autonomy in decisions regarding one's health.
