1.0 Introduction
Homeschooling is the new norm in the academic industry because it is an alternative avenue for students and parents to acquire basic and advanced education. For this reason, there are alternative ways in seeking for an academic degree that is now sprawling online. Many households believe that there are several benefits that can be acquired through an online academic program. People in the western hemisphere are closely associated with this practice, in which most academic institutions are now opting to use another sphere of academic curriculum that offers homeschooling programs. This paper will be discussing a literature review on the outcome of homeschooled students by exploring on the statistics proving whether children who have been homeschooled have less academic success and if they are prepared for college.
Home education or also known as homeschooling is a form of an alternative education for students that apply at home. This is done through an online-based education program that is now regarded as the most common as the traditional tutorial way of teaching children or students inside their homes. Most families start a traditional academic curriculum by allowing their students to attend schools on a regular basis (Wilkens & Sonnert, 2015). However, due to several factors affecting numerous circumstances, there are households who opted to choose a home schooling program for their children. This is also applied to individuals who have no time to attend school from work that is why they apply for a modular program in order to cope up with their academic curriculum at school or at work. Home schooling is argued as having lower accuracy rate for students than those who traditionally attend their classes at their respective schools due to concentration and focus to lessons (Forrester, 2016).
2.0 Literature Review
2.1 Factors affecting performance of homeschooling and traditional schooling
Human resource factor indicates that the performance is based on the ability of the instructors to provide a sustainable educational program. If the professors are highly skilled for homeschoolers, students from either homeschooling or a traditional schooling background, their students will show a significant improvement with their grades and outperforms either the two dimensions of educations (Kunzman & Gaither, 2013). These are the variety of professional background that are not usually available to cater home schooling and the difficulty of accessing homes of students who are enrolled under the home schooling program. Another reason why there are questionable issues regarding the efficiency and the accuracy of homeschooling is attributed with the lesser support of government for regulating homeschooling program for academic institutions (Forrester, 2016).
Cultural reason is one of the factors wherein education is important. This is because there are trademarks that a community follows so that the future generation replicates the accomplishments of their elders. For this reason, traditions play an important role to sustain the identity of the community where every generation continues the practice of their younger generations such as attending schools and integrate their culture with other students. These are the main reasons why scholars still prefer traditional educational programs for students to acquire an accurate educational service (Forrester, 2016). That is why it is urged that there should be government intervention with regard to the application of homeschooling programs that are now gradually in demand to various households within the community. Communities want to preserve cultural norms from other societies so that they can have a distinct way of representing their ideologies and interests (Neuman & Gueterman, 2016).
Technological factors play an important role in influencing the impact of academic professionalism within the community. The plight of a computerized network allows each user to gain access to other individuals. This provides a mechanism between the teachers and the students to interact with each other using the internet. The use of computers provides new avenues for all individuals to become productive with their learning potential (Snyder, 2013). The presences of new technological facilities allow households and individuals to prefer homeschooling method because it is an accessible way to ensure that they can engage in new learning activities. The most common platforms are the social media tools because it allows users to engage in communication by means of chatting, video calling, voice calling, and text messaging with each other. With just a push of a button, homeschooling is accessible between the teachers and the students who will experience one of the most valuable practices and campaigns that they can render with their academic responsibilities (Kunzman & Geither, 2013).
In terms of financial factors, homeschoolers find it cheaper while being enrolled in a household curriculum. Both homeschoolers and traditional students are given similar reading materials while they are currently enrolled in similar subjects. The difference is that homeschoolers does not have to be concerned with the clothes that they will wear on a daily basis because they are currently homeschooled (Neuman & Guterman, 2016). Homeschoolers can save money from the expenses in their laundry, transportation, food, and lured into shopping centers while they are away from their home. This means that both traditional and homeschooled students have equal academic opportunities and privileges because their school providing the curriculum offers similar academic disciplines while incorporating needed materials, requirements, and handlers to their subjects (Forrester, 2016).
2.2 Equal performance results
(Barwegen, Falciani, Putnam, Reamer & Stair, 2005) indicated from their research that there has been no difference in the academic achievement between homeschool and public school students. The student’s perception of parent involvement does not show any changes after conducting research findings, proving that both homeschooling and a traditional educational program have no difference with the progress of a student’s academic performance. The results came after the test samples from the recent national test scores among students from homeschooling program and students in public schools, showing similar scores. However, the increasing gun violence, gun proliferation, and the lapses with the individualized education are the reasons why families are requesting their children to prefer attending their school through a regular homeschooling program. This is based on the growing security risk that is happening across our communities that are beyond the control of security personnel such as the police and the army. The incidences are based on the hypothetical issues that are collaborated by the explorative statistics indicated by the article. Parents are also keeping their children from risks of bullying applied by individuals with violent minds at school, causing fear and intimidation to other students who only intend to study to provide a brighter future for their families while secured at home (Raley, 2016).
2.3 Rights to education
(Academic Leadership Journal, 2010) indicated that every person has the right to acquire their educational needs in order to become productive in their lives by means of having the chance to choose the best method that they believe as the best for their academic needs. In this case, homeschooling is considered under the aspect of a right, enabling an individual to ensure that their educational need is applied. As a right, it is not important if the person is undergoing either a traditional or a homeschooling practice, which fulfills the need to improve the level of knowledge of the individual. Leaders in our society today experienced different modes of education for as long as it maximizes the need. This is the reason why homeschooling is not regarded as a new convenient way of providing educational practice that empowers the future generation of individuals to become new leaders (Raley, 2016).

Research analysis of other articles as well as the presentation of statistics indicates that there should be an equal opportunity between students enrolled in an academic institution to be covered with the right amount of educational rights. This is due to the increasing safety concerns by the parents who want to secure the safety of their children as they are enrolled to become future professionals in the near future. The growing trend of homeschooling is now highlighting the essentials of being involved with a conventional academic practice that the modern society is now representing. The essence of using a democratic society is now creating a balance between home-schooled individuals as well as with students who are attending their classes at school (Snyder, 2013).
2.4 Uncertainties of homeschooling
Many households are not yet aware of the existence of homeschooling that makes it at risk for being confronted with uncertainties such as believing that students in this method are less likely to perform better than students attending their traditional classes. The reason behind is that there were little or no application of new insights that allow homeschooled individuals to obtain a reasonable educative program applied through network communication (Yu, Sackett & Kancel 2016). The reason behind is that there were not yet informed regarding the methods or options that can be applied to the school regarding the application of homeschooling. The overall goal is to provide a high-quality academic curriculum so that students will be able to apply their learned knowledge, skill, and experience to their chosen profession in the future. Parents have the right to choose the type of educative advantage for their children because it seeks to determine the essentials of securing their environment while they are in the process of attaining their goals while being guided by their parents and teachers at home (Yu, et al., 2016).
2.5 Promoting academic diversity that equalizes student performance

There are styles that are established by the teachers or facilitators to ensure that their students will always receive the essential quality that they deserve while learning at home. By experience, most students who underwent homeschooling made positive remarks regarding the style and the difference with the environment that they acquired and adjusted while learning their studies at home. Most individuals as based on several statistical results indicated that homeschooling provides several positive ways that shape the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of the student (Thomas, 2016).

There are some cases that homeschooled students entering a medium-sized institution are more likely to perform better than students who attended their classes in their respective schools. This is associated with several factors in terms of social, security, political, economic, and cultural issues that impact the academic performance of students. Students from homeschooling curriculum who are excelling with their academic performance are pacing up with traditional students, equalizing the number of individuals who are performing well during college and eliminating the differences from their learning backgrounds (Wilkens & Sonnert, 2015).
