* NGOs aim or functions to deliver service, provide education and basic skills to members of the target population. This helps us understand the true nature of NGOs such as the Red Cross.

* NGOs work to benefit people. A non-profit organization's number one goal is to provide service at a maximum level. * Red Cross is inclined to offer Volunteer Services and provide Medical and Health Services. Since it was started, the organization has strived for better equity, for more equal cultural and social development, for human rights and truth, to fulfil peoples' highest ideals. Red Cross shares with and supports people in the whole world during their hard times through fulfilling their needs. The organization has gone through a lot of challenges since it was started. Red Cross has helped shape the struggle for the wellbeing of men, consideration and mutual respect, to live in a world of peace and love.' (Milosevic, 2011)
* Sometimes joining the NGOs happens as a calling, like in the case of Milosevic, who says that he cannot remember when he joined the organization. He thinks it all began when he was first aware of the organization's goals. As a profession, these goals were not only well known to him, but they were also a part of what he did in his life, and he could do these things simply at peace (Milosevic, 2011)
* In respect of what the red cross does for the community, It plays an important part in reaching the goal of Health for all by the year 2000. It can not be fulfilled until every individual puts his little share on the table. By doing this, the organization remains focused on its mission which is to reduce and prevent human suffering in all situations, to take care of Health and life, and respect for people.' Giving its support to the general population can fulfill its humanitarian duty for the wellbeing of people. (Milosevic, 2011)

* what determines Red Cross activities in a given area is the policies being used in that specific area where the organization operates. It influences the introduction or adoption of a volunteer program. For instance, organizations operating in the fields of human services and the health sector have started to use advanced management practices level than educational organizations or the social field performance of most non-profit agencies in general.
