Frederick Winslow Taylor had significant contributions to the history of management, and some of his concepts and theories are practiced today by various organizations (Robbins et al., 2019, p. 6). In his 1911’s book Principles of Scientific Management, Taylor defined scientific management as the application of scientific methods in defining the “one best way” for an individual to have a specific job done (Robbins et al., 2019, p. 6). Taylor made it clear that the proper application of scientific methods would increase workers’ output efficiency. 
1.3 Possible Contribution to Essay Argument
Robbins et al.’s (2019) book is a credible and significant source that will contribute to the success of my essay (Robbins et al., 2019, p. 6). In particular, I will use it in the introductory paragraph to define Taylor’s scientific management theory. Robbins et al. (2019) is essential since it gives a brief history of how Taylor came up with the scientific theory. Moreover, I will use Robbins et al.’s (2019) book in the body part to show how Taylor’s management theory has been applied by various organizations to promote employees’ output efficiency and effectiveness (Robbins et al., 2019, p. 6).
