Introduction
Branding refers to giving an organization or company a particular symbol or design in advertising its services and products. Branding for the companies is essential because it allows clients and customers to know the products and what they expect from a particular company hence making a memorable impression to the consumers and customers (Walker, 2018). It also distinguishes the company from the competitors and clarifies the company's offers and what makes the company unique. The building of the brand should represent the organization's true identity, such as whom are you in the business world and the customers wishing to be perceived. Wal-Mart is the most extensively developed retain brand in the United States, covering hundreds of people and household consumable items.
The more excellent value lines of the brand include frozen vegetables, canned foods, trash bags, pies, sliced bread, light bulbs and several traditional grocery products. Walmart brand is among the largest companies in the United States and the world, with many customers and consumers from all corners of the world. Walmart brand has essential elements such as the logo or wordmark to help in identifying its products and services among its consumers and customers. Corporate font, shape and form, theme line, and visual element are essential for the company to help make the organization well-known and the product and services are offering.
Factors in branding strength
Brand strength refers to the value provided by the organization or company. Wal-Mart brand can keep it high if it manages to build cheerful customer's price perception, the customer's shares on the company's values and importance, and associating it with the best quality in the market, helping to improve the brand equity of the WALMART COMPANY (Walker, 2018). Several factors help build the brand strength and include; brand perception since it considers the customers' perception in ensuring quality product and services in the stores. The consumers of the products and services in Wal-Mart will relate the performance and quality of the services and products to his/her utilities and start comparing it with other products lines that are similar in the market and competitors. Therefore the company should focus on the quality of the products to help in retaining customers and improving sales.
Brand awareness is essential to the health of the organization or company since it will help determine the consumers' mindshare toward the products. For example, if the consumer wants to buy frozen vegetables, start thinking about the stores offering or selling them. If the consumers know the Walmart company in the whole country will automatically buy the vegetables without going to the other stores. Brand awareness helps in allowing the company or organization to create demand in the business and market. Brand loyalty is essential since it will help determine brand strength depending on the loyalty the customers and consumers have toward the services and products (Gielens and Steenkamp, n2019). The customers, who love the service or product and are having an emotional attachment to it, will be buying products; hence they will become brand ambassadors of the company hence it will help in improving brand equity. Brand association is deeply rooted in the consumers' minds. For example, Walmart stores are associated with selling fresh vegetables in large quantities to all the people in the country; therefore, if they needed vegetables, they will start thinking about it, creating a positive brand association with customers' minds. It helps build brand equity, and the services provided in the company are satisfied and desirable needs of the consumers.
Strengths
Branding helps in increasing business value in all the companies in the world. Branding is essential, especially when one is trying by all the means to generate future business; hence firmly established brand helps in increasing a business value by giving the organization or company more leverage in the business or industry. It makes the company a more attractive investment opportunity since it has a firm establishment in the market. Results of any branding processes refer to the brand that incorporates the value and reputation that comes with the company. Strong reputations, in most cases, mean a strong brand that translates into the value of the business. The value of the business can mean price premium, influence, or mindshare. The branding in the industry holds monetary value in it and has its own in the business's balance sheet since it increases the worth of the companies. In many companies, it is a controversial and challenging task; giving financial weight to any brand is critical as branding itself and is known as brand valuation. The Walmart branding has helped increase its value since most people in the country like shopping in it and not from the others stores.
Branding is essential since it helps in generating new customers in the business. A good brand has no trouble in referring business to the new customers about their products. The strong branding means that there is a positive impression to the consumers about the company.
