Which Countries Are Most Vulnerable To A Crisis?
There are several countries in the world today that can find it hard to avoid financial or economic crises. This paper seeks to argue that Argentina is one of the least resilient countries in the world today and can easily fall into a crisis. According to Raszewski (2023), Argentina's economy is "in intensive care," particularly due to high inflation rates, peso controls, and recession. In September, the country's annual inflation reached 138% and is still on the rise (Raszewski, 2023). Furthermore, JP Morgan has predicted that Argentina's inflation will reach 210% at the end of 2023 (Raszewski, 2023). As shown in the graph below, while the country’s inflation has been rising since 2018, the sharpest rise occurred in 2023.
