For instance, Dr. Siak and Dr. Huang were faced with a scenario where they were supposed to answer an ethical question to Mr. Shi's family about whether they should put him on medication for Alzheimer’s disease despite him telling his son Jonathan that he should not be put under any medication. One of the unique roles of healthcare professionals is to truthfully explain to individuals the best ethical decision they should take. The best decision they will make should be guided by the ethical standards of healthcare professionals (Grace & Uveges, 2022). Healthcare providers should review the ANA code of ethics when determining the best decision. The other unique perspective healthcare professionals should have when addressing complex ethical questions is that even individuals have their own views.
