What is social theory?
Social theory defines social groupings to understand their boundary on behavior; some of the boundary features include customs, values, and morals that bring people to consensus. Social theory includes analyzing the paradigm shifts, which includes a set of interlocking ideas that defines several questions about social science (Macfarlane, 2007).
Social conflicts paradigm includes understanding the conflict that exists among the upper class, the middle class, and lower class. Social theory analyzes why the rich get richer at the expense of the middle class and the poor. Social theory analyzes change including political shifts and technological shifts like important historical events including the industrial revolution. In summary, social theory describes why suddenly we see things in a new way (Macfarlane, 2007).
