Scaling Impact Using Each Component of SCALERS

Businesses can be successful without scaling, but a business is not sustainable if their impact or value proposition is not scalable. Social Enterprises have the opportunity to drive impact through scaling. As you go through the reading this week, your discussion assignment is to share how the your social enterprise will address each letter in the SCALERS acronym.

Social entrepreneurs significantly contribute to societies as they seek profit maximization from their businesses. A firm applying the SCALERS (Staffing, Communications, Alliance building, Lobbying, Earnings generation, Replication, and Stimulating market forces) conceptual model significantly promotes social entrepreneurship (Bloom & Chatterji, 2009). As a potential future social businessperson, I will apply the model in my enterprise to benefit society by addressing every ‘SCALERS’ letter.
