The fieldwork provided a great opportunity to learn several important aspects of families, children, and community engagement. I had my field experience in both Head Start and YMCA. Where I comprehensively observed the services they provide for children and their families. I had an opportunity to interact with their staff members and learn more about the agencies.
I learned from my field experience that inclusivity and acknowledging diversity are key to ensuring successful engagements when dealing with children and families. Inclusivity and diversity are observed when all children and families from different cultures, with language differences, and in need of agency intervention are included in projects to improve their lives (Office of Head Start, 2022).
