Identify the English Language Structure (or structure in use) for which the activity is appropriate and provide language learning objective(s) for the lesson.
Part of Language:
Listening and Speaking
Language learning objective(s):
* At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
* Effectively assess the micro-skills in teaching the English language.
* Use English words to describe various events taking place in a given setting.
* The students should acquire the necessary listening skills to follow and understand the course interviews, discussions, conversations, and lectures.
* Students should be able to develop appropriate speaking skills that would enable them to communicate effectively with teachers and other learners.
Provide a brief overview of the lesson.
Lesson overview:
Listening and speaking are critical for the students who are willing and desire to upgrade their speaking and listening skills for educational, personal, or employment purposes. As such, the course mainly concentrates on expanding listening and speaking skills to improve the level of confidence and at the same time develop a basic level of proficiency in both listening and speaking. The key activities involved in the course include speaking in American English and listening to the American language in different communicative situations. Further, the listening and speaking practice will allow for language development, which includes sentence structure, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
The teacher will teach the whole class and have a one on one session with some students to guide them on pronunciations of some words or those who may be facing challenges in understanding the content delivered to them. Therefore, it means that the instructor will combine student-directed learning and individual assistance with the group instructions. At this point, learners will set the goals by identifying their language and communicative development requirements and at the same time will participate in selecting activities that would prefer for effective learning (Prachagool, Nuangchalerm, Subramaniam & Dostal, 2016). Besides, students will get the necessary assistance in areas where they will be experiencing challenges, including lack of familiarity in lexicon, structure, or cultural content. During this time, the teacher will observe, facilitate, and assess students' participation in different classroom activities. Nonetheless, students will be allowed to discuss their social responsibilities and personal rights in their specific areas of study, personal life, and desired careers (Prachagool et al., 2016). This will, however, depend on the materials that will be provided by the instructor.
Materials:
English dictionary, pictures, music player, and video player. All these materials will allow the student to make choices on the various class activities that will be availed to them. Thereby, they can choose those that they can participate. Such choices will enable the students to achieve their course objectives.

Provide a detailed outline for each component/activity.
Introduction to lesson:
The instructor will greet the students and provide them with the course overview and what is expected of them at the end of the lesson. “Good morning class? This morning I am glad to introduce to you an important topic that is critical in your academic, personal and career path. The topic for today is speaking and listening….. I will provide you with course objectives and class activities. We shall practice some different class activities together as a class to demonstrate the significance of the course using the availed materials. You will then choose your goals and take part in different class activities”.
Lesson outline:

Justify your pedagogical decisions:
The pedagogical decision is critical for the professional teachers related to the various actions that teachers are exposed to in the classrooms. The teachers' pedagogical approaches include communication skills, learning and innovation skills, information skills, and life and career skills (Mufwene, 2001). It is thus through this scientific research that justified the pedagogical decision. In this case, the research highlighted that part of the pedagogical approach needed for professional teachers is communication skills, which require one to be conversant with speaking and listening skills. Secondly, speaking and communication are critical in career skill progression as this allows one to understand the instructions and implement essential decisions of organization. One needs to have both liste...
