Criminal justice managers should be concerned with the personal aspects of workers’ lives to foster the organizational justice perception. Their decisions significantly influence employees on a day-to-day basis. These decisions typically relate to company procedures and policies, duty assignments, promotional opportunities, as well as the interpersonal dynamics of corporate life. Workers critically appraise their leaders since their decisions and actions have crucial social and economic implications for employees. Criminal justice managers should make deliberate efforts to consider their subordinates’ life aspects to create a fair impression based on the employee inputs (work contribution, excellence, and education) and their outcomes (e.g., promotion and remuneration increase). Noteworthy, employees are inclined to compare their input-outcome ratio to that of their coworkers or other employees in related organizations. Therefore, the criminal justice manager’s involvement in the employee’s personal life enhanced perceived equity and high morale at the workplace. In addition, employees’ perception of interactive justice is increasingly important, which translates to the worker’s interpersonal treatment perception when procedures and policies are implemented within the organization (Wolfe & Lawson, 2020). Therefore, it is increasingly necessary that criminal justice managers consider the personal aspects of the employees because their decisions have social and economic consequences on the subordinates.

This concern will translate into effective leadership at the workplace by creating high thresholds of worker engagement. This, in turn, leads to better performance, improved sales revenues, higher earnings for the respective employees, reduced cases of absenteeism, and lower employee turnover.
