I am writing this memo to inform everyone about implementing this hospital's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The EHR system will involve several components I want to share with you. Firstly, the administrative process is one of the crucial components of practice management. EHR platform would help automate and simplify several administrative roles to ensure physicians can spend most of their time and energy focusing on patient treatment. As a result, the administrative arm of this hospital would benefit from having access to clinical data gathered and managed by the system. The EHR would automate patient outreach, scheduling, and billing processes.
On the other hand, the EHR system would play a significant role in electronic communication and connectivity between our hospital and other members of society. The system guarantees quick, easy access to patient medical and sharable information. The system would allow you to share information with your colleagues, enhancing care collaboration. Besides, you can share data with patients to increase their care participation. EHR system would help our institution to foster patient education and instill a sense of self-management. Thus, the system would allow patients within this hospital to view their lab results, message the providers, and book appointments.
In our organization, providing decision and knowledge support would assist in fostering the quality of our patients, accuracy, and safety in making decisions. The system comprises evidence-based tools which can enable you in decision-making during a patient's treatment plan. As a result, the system would support the physicians' tasks and workflows, boosting system quality (Salleh et al., 2021). EHR decision support would help you to maintain compliance with the most effective clinical practices by reminding you to adhere to existing treatment procedures and plans.
