Different individuals tend to have different occupations and roles in their places of work. A clear understanding of occupations in various fields enhances the capacity and knowledge to make comparisons for the most suitable path to choose. Occupation typically means one’s profession and the job that they engage as their principal business in life. Different occupations have different roles related to the tasks to be undertaken. A role is a particular position under which an individual can perform tasks related to the situation. Interviewing our relatives enhances the understanding of occupation and the level of collecting information from people. The paper focuses on an interview session with an Uncle concerning his occupation and roles at his workplace.
The interview involves a question and answers session with my Uncle, Mark Gates, about various aspects of his occupation and work life. In my opinion, occupation is a person’s job. Roles are the activities and tasks assigned to the job. I want to get an understanding of your occupation and the roles you undertake while performing your duties. I believe the interview session will be more interactive and helpful in revealing what it takes to be in your profession.

I am Mark Gates, a 34-year-old driver at Victory Manufacturing and Delivery Company. I reside in Westchester, in Miami-Dade County, Florida. I have a family with two daughters and a wife. We usually lived in Palm Beach County, north of Miami-Dade, before moving to our current place of residence. My new job at Victory Delivery Company had a significant influence on our migration to Westchester.

Describe a typical day for you.
Answer
I engage in various tasks on a typical day, including inspection and maintenance of supplies and equipment and other deliverables on transit. I also ensure that the delivery truck is well serviced and in the best working condition. I also maintain cargo records on the truck, billing statements, loading, and offloading cargo, submitting money received from deliveries to the accountant, and verifying shipping documents and inventory loads. Transportation of materials to their destinations also relates to tasks performed on a typical day.
