Based on the understanding of the text, I would respond to the critics that Jones speaks about through the following mechanisms. The first response will emphasize the value of play when used in learning. Highlighting the importance and significance of play in early childhood education is important (Jones, 2003). When children play, it is not a pastime but a powerful tool in learning because these students interact with one another and develop listening, communication, and problem-solving skills, which are effective in learning.
