Artifact Assignment
RGV Inc., is an international company that sells to many countries. Their products include beverages, condiments, produce, meat/poultry, grains/cereals, seafood, dairy products, confections and other items. RGV Inc., has recognized that the company’s profit margins are declining. In an effort to reduce cost and increase profit, they want to perform an analysis of their company. They have hired you to recommend the beginning steps for data driven decision making. This project will focus on developing a strategy to identify what kind of data needs to be collected, a timeframe for data collection, identification of key stakeholders, and defining a process for collecting, analyzing, and distributing findings of the data once the analysis is complete.
This assignment will require you to consider what relevant data should be collected and tracked? This includes both quantitative and qualitative data. When analyzing the data what questions should be asked and who should be involved in this process.
Drawing Conclusions
Your data collection analysis will lead you to draw conclusions on identifying data to collect, timeframe for data collection, identification of key stakeholders, and defining a process for collecting, analyzing, and distributing findings of the data once the analysis is complete For example, collecting data on products that sell the most, salespersons and their sales performance etc… These are just some recommendations to get you started. Remember that you (a consultant) have been contracted by RGV Inc., to provide recommendations on gathering data that you believe will impact sales and increase the overall performance of the company. These recommendations should grow out of the conclusions on the data collection analysis.
Last Step of Project
Present the Data Driven Decision Making recommendation findings in a Memo to the company’s CEO. See below for sample. Ensure it is narrative form and includes all the information requested above.

Analysis of the Stakeholders
As a retail entity, RVG Inc.’s stakeholders include the employees, consumers, government, suppliers, distributors, shareholders, or investors, as well as the public. The company thrives on delivering a variety of quality goods and services to its equally wide consumer base. The company further adheres to the set government policies in carrying out its daily business operations while also committing to its corporate social responsibilities to the public or society. The firm’s compliance with both the company’s code of conduct and business ethics also functions to maintain the shareholders' confidence in the company. The key stakeholders affecting the company’s performance in the market are the consumers, employees, investors, suppliers, and distributors. Repeat purchases from the consumers and their recommendations to other customers function to increase the sales volumes. Employees also play a significant role in the sales and marketing of the firm’s variety of goods and services while the investors are mandated to provide a good working environment for the salespeople to effectively carry out their roles and responsibilities to the company. Suppliers and distributors, on the other hand, have to embrace the firm’s business and ethical code of conduct to enhance the penetration of the company’s goods and services in the market.
Data Classification and Collection Timeframe
Attaining sustainable growth and development of the firm is dependent on increased sales volumes and the maintenance of the company’s competitiveness in the highly competitive data. The achievement of such an outcome requires the analysis of data collected from the primary quantitative and qualitative factors or elements indicating the firm’s overall performance concerning revenue generation through sales. Among the quantitative data to be tracked include the total daily sales volumes, the number of inquiries, returns, and complaints as well as the rate of purchase for each of the different brands.
