The Possibility of Moral Responsibility
Accepting responsibility for one's actions is one of the basic components of being a full-grown adult. It is taking ownership of one's actions and words and the results that come with it. Life is undoubtedly difficult for one who evades personal responsibility as they fail to develop self-respect attained from identifying one's stand in life by having responsibilities. It will also be difficult to respect other people and their way of life. Strawson argues that having this in mind, one should know that the possibility of one's luck supersedes their actions of good and bad (1). This essay seeks to discuss why individuals are responsible for what they do, the implication of luck in our actions, and the two perspectives of dimensions of responsibility.
Our moral responsibility impacts the outcome the future of an individual will live based on their action or inaction.
