How Art Made the World
Aired on BBC, How Art Made the World is a 2005 documentary in which Dr. Nigel Spivey looks at the different aspects and elements of art and how it influences our society. From ceramics, artifacts, and palaces to pyramids, paintings and icons, everything is beautifully described in this documentary. According to Nigel Spivey, art has been around for thousands of years and studying it as a single subject is not possible (2015).
He begins his investigation from Willendorf; in 1908, it was reported that three archaeologists had found the Venus of Willendorf in this area. The second episode of How Art Made the World sheds light on the history of pictures. It beautifully depicts how the first pictures were created and how the influenced the way humans look at the world (2015).
