The Stranger Among Us talks about a detective by the Name Emily Eden who reallocated to the Jewish community and lived with religious people while she was investigating a murder case. The location where the detective went was in an urban ethnic neighborhood and there were two ethnic groups that are presented in the film. These two ethnic groups are the Caucasian American and the Hasidim. While trying to carry out the murder investigation both elements are mishandled in the story. Detective Eden makes a lot of mistakes while trying to unravel the murder. In the opening of the scene, she does not call for back up while she is trying to make the arrest and her partner Nick is stabbed. While she is trying to solve the case she runs after the mob without requesting any backup. Some of the mob members disappear and she unlawfully discharges her weapon in the air yet her life was not in danger. She kills a lot of men and it later turns out that they were not responsible for the death of Yakka. The feminist version of witness that is set in the community of Hasidic Jewish community if New York rather than the Amish country. This is a film worth a great potential. The most unconquerable problem is the wild miscasting of Melanie as a hardened New York Cop. However, there is a huge missed opportunities and a ridiculous sentimental view of people of the modern society although they are not really part of the society.
