I chose the Adnan Syed vs Hae Min Lee murder case of Maryland, Baltimore. My reason for selecting this documentary emanates from the various ethical issues ignored by the prosecution team. Arguably, the Adnan Syed vs Hae Min Lee murder case is one of the most high-profile cases in America. The documentary contains a well-detailed film, which depicts the activities of the primary suspect, the victim, and the role of each accomplice. Adnan Syed is the prime suspect in the murder of his then-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee (Case against Adnan Syed: A New Documentary Series on HBO, n.d.). Jay Wilds based his arguments on Adnan’s religious beliefs, which was a weak point to use when basing his arguments. The post-mortem report collected from the victim’s body painted a different picture, which the prosecution chose to ignore. For instance, the pathologist stated that Hae Min Lee died of manual strangulation, while the tribunal team said that Adnan did it. Furthermore, Jay posited that Syed was the one who drove the car to the site where they disposed of the body. However, crime experts asserted that there was no evidence linkin...
