* Public and private law litigation differs in what they base their judgments on. Private law usually involves solely the protection of personal rights and interests of the involved. Public law decisions are very controversial, just like with Brown v. Board of Education and Roe v. Wade, because these issues bring about social change. The decisions made in these cases had greatly affected how the judiciary system works nowadays.
