Human security refers to safeguarding people’s lives. Indeed, it entails sustainable peace through the recognition of economic, political, and social problems. Some of the human security threats include poverty, ethnic violence, pandemics, climate change, and human trafficking. As such, human security provides a blueprint for establishing programs and policies to mitigate, respond to, and prevent such challenges.
