The first ethical tenet is the belief in the oneness of God, tawhid. This belief holds that there is only one God, and that all other deities or gods are false and should not be worshipped. It is considered as the foundation of Islam and it is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam. He is also considered as the political and military leader of the early Muslim community and his leadership played a key role in the establishment of Islam as a major world religion.
