Think about why he and many other notables supported this statement, especially concerning the discovery of America. What was so important about this New World across the Atlantic Ocean from Europe? How did it change globalization in terms of trade, culture, societies, innovations, new and old world exchanges, and in other ways?
You have already developed a thesis statement and developed an outline in which you identify three (3) main points relevant to your topic. Now you will develop the final paper in which you explore your main points in detail.

Identify three (3) major aspects that demonstrate Old and New World exchanges. Explain your responses with specific examples and details.

The discovery of America and the passage to the East Indies by the Cape of Good Hope are significant to the humankind in history, current and future lives. The events introduced crucial changes that marked an end to specific old ways in traditional aspects such as culture. They impacted a new start in innovations like the use of advanced technology. Humankind got privileged with new ideas and opportunities for growth. For instance, people from different communities could interact and trade with each other after the discoveries, which was not possible before realizing the events. Therefore, the events impacted the social, cultural, and economic aspects of people from different countries across the globe as they interacted and shared each other’s ideas through the developments in the discoveries.
The old and new world exchanges impacted by the events are demonstrated in various ways. First, a significant aspect of the exchange is the uniting of the world into a small village (Macfie, 2013). People from different and distant parts across the globe got an immediate chance of interaction despite the distance between them. For instance, the advanced technology in aspects like the use of computers and smartphone technology enabled people to converse with each other from various parts of the world (Macfie, 2013). The devices also raised the platform for communication on social media where people can engage in multiple interactions without limit. This involvement revealed a significant change from the old world into a new world where people could interact with each other regardless of the differences in geographical locations.
Secondly, the change from old to a new world paved the way for exchanging commodities between different countries. While people in the past depended on locally made products, introducing a new phase enabled people to import and export products from other countries (Macfie, 2013). This development positively impacted the communities as they got into a position they could eventually access commodities they need but cannot produce locally. The change was made possible by developments such as ships that could transport the goods into different countries (Macfie, 2013). Therefore, different countries were able to help each other by providing various commodities through exports and imports.
