(Two Paragraphs):
I was assigned to a patient who reported having a sleepless night and felt tired during breakfast the following morning. As such, I felt that conducting tests and auscultation would be vital, but after she ate breakfast she did not sleep immediately. The patient lay in bed, and
she granted me the chance to check her vital signs. The patient then told me, I want to sleep now, I do not need you need to listen the chest, my chest has no problem.” this placed me in a dilemma as I still needed to perform auscultation, although thought she might have been tired.
However, the medical examination was not thorough because I could not perform auscultation. Client self- determination in healthcare plan is necessary, but at the same time through medical testing helps to rule out any complications not detected before. I was uncertain on the right course of action given the patient’s reluctance to agree to auscultation.
A -Analyze what influenced the experience, what made things happen as they did?

Physical examination for vital signs was done regularly, and the patient’s report on having sleepless nights should be evaluated to assess her health status. Carrying out auscultation is routine no matter what the patient feels, and although this did not take place it was out of the need to give the patient ample rest time. The patient went to rest after the examination, but there was no emphasis on the importance auscultation which should have taken place to assess the lungs, abdomen and heart.
