Understanding the various technologies and processes that would lead to our transition to renewable energy sources is essential for everyone. It allows us to appreciate better how energy is made, how it affects our environment, and what we can do to lessen our overall impact on the environment. In the 2012 film entitled Switch, Professor Tinker showed the various energy sources that we are currently using today and showed the cost-efficiency of these sources. Accordingly, based on his observations, the United States is a country that is highly dependent upon coal and fossil fuels, with around fifty percent (50%) of the energy’s power resources coming from it.
